Do Super Star Sport West London work to an adult to child ratio?


Super Star Sport operate a strict 1:8 ratio of adults to children for children aged four to seven. For eight year olds and over we aim for a 1:12 ratio. At all our Holiday Camps.

Can you tell me about the staff who will work in the Clubs?
Super Star Sport West London staff are enthusiastic, inspiring and passionate individuals who are DBS checked to Enhanced Level and hold qualifications/have extensive experience in coaching/childcare. There is a Paediatric First Aid trained member of staff on site at all times. Staff receive ongoing training in various aspects of child supervision and care, including behaviour management, child protection and activity delivery.

How do I pay?

  • Credit/Debit Card: we accept all types of cards and make no charge for card payments. 

  • Cash: we only accept cash for camp bookings and can be paid on the first day at arrival of camp.

  • Cheque: we only accept cash for camp bookings and can be paid on the first day at arrival of camp.

  • PayPal: using our PayPal card reader, we can take payment on the day of camps as well as in advance for our clubs.

  • Bank Transfer: bank details can be provided on request, please call our Operations Manager, Michael on 07949 259 864.

Can I get a receipt?

  • Once you have made a booking and payment has been made you will receive an email confirmation.

Term Time Clubs FAQ

Will Super Star Sport West London take my child to their class?

  • At the end of the Morning Movement session, a Super Star Sport staff member will take the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children to a predefined area or to their classroom to be handed over to a member of school staff.

 

Does Super Star Sport West London provide breakfast at Morning Movement?

  • Unfortunately we not provide breakfast at our Morning Movement Clubs. The aim of our Morning Movement Clubs is to energise and prepare children for a days learning at school.

  • Does my child need to bring anything with them?

 

  • Depending on the club, a change of sports clothes (P.E kit) and trainers may be required.

  • Please ensure your child is appropriately prepared for the club, provide water proofs and sun cream where necessary.

  • Please ensure any items brought to a Super Star Sport Club are clearly labelled.

  • Please ensure children do not bring any valuable toys or belongings with them as Super Star Sport West London cannot be held responsible if they go missing.

My child is going to be absent or I need to cancel a session, what should I do?

  • For on the day cancellations, please ensure the school is aware as well as our operations manager. Please call Michael on 07949 259 864.

 

What if my child requires medication whilst at the club?

  • Any child requiring medication, including inhalers, must provide their own supply of the medication.

  • Super Star Sport West London can only administer prescribed medication.  Please ensure you hand any medication required to the school with a Permission to Administer Medicine form. Super Star Sport West London can email this form to you prior to your child attending.

 

What is the booking deadline for Morning Movement Club sessions?

  • You can book online up to the 30 minutes prior to the start of a session, as long as there is availability.

 

My child has additional needs.  How can you help?

  • Super Star Sport West London recognises that the needs of individual children vary, and will endeavour to accommodate children with specific needs and/or medical conditions in our sessions.

  • It is our policy not to exclude any child due to specific needs and/or medical conditions wherever possible.

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to inform us of any medical conditions and special educational needs or disabilities, whether booking online or over the phone, so we can discuss how best to accommodate the child, and consider whether any reasonable adjustments can be made to ensure they are able to fully participate and enjoy the activities on camp within the staffing ratios provided for their age group.

  • The needs of each child vary so decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and depend upon the level of support each individual child may require.

 

How will my child get to the After School Club?

  • If your child attends the school where the After School Club is located, your child’s school will be made aware in advance that they are due to attend on a given afternoon.

  • For children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 a school staff member will escort the children directly to the club or a Super Star Sport staff member will collect the children from their class. For children in KS2 and above, they can make their own way direct to the club.

 

How do I collect my child and can I pick them up at any time?

  • Parents can collect from the designated pick up area at the stated finishing time for the club. Late Fees of £8 for the first fifteen minutes and £1 per minute thereafter are applied for late collections.

  • You must inform our Operations Manager, Michael if your child will be collected late. Please call Michael on 07949 259 864.

  • Only people listed on the registration and who are 16 years of age or older can collect a child in our care.

 

Do Super Star Sport West London provide Food?

  • We do not provide food, but children are welcome to bring a healthy snack to consume before the start of the club.

 

What happens if someone else needs to pick up my child?

  • Only people listed as a collector on your account can pick up your child. 

  • Staff will only release children to people they know or can verify so please ask that collectors bring photo ID with them for checking.

  • Any person collecting your child must be over 16 years of age.

  • If we are unsure who to send the child with, we will call the listed emergency contact for clarification.

 

My child is going to be absent or I need to cancel a session, what should I do?

  • It is parents’ responsibility to ensure the school know that their child will not be attending after school club.

 

Can my child also attend a different wrap around care club after a Super Star Sport West London Club?

  • Yes, your child may attend a school wrap around care club after a Super Star Sport West London session.

  • Provided it is in the same location, a member of Super Star Sport West London will drop the child at the club.

  • Once the child has been dropped off at the school run wrap around care, the child is the responsibility of that club.

 

Holiday Camp FAQs

What does my child need to bring on the day?

  • Super Star Sport West London do not provide food.  A healthy and nutritious packed lunch is required.

  • Please note: all Super Star Sport West London Camps are nut-free zones. 

  • Please also bear in mind that refrigeration is not available at our settings.

  • Packed lunch recommendation: non-fizzy drinks, fresh and non-processed food such as fruit, vegetables, wholemeal bread and biscuits, raisins, natural yoghurts, crackers as well as ice packs, frozen gel or frozen juice drinks.

  • Drinking water is always available.

  • We recommend packing according to our unpredictable English weather. On any given day this should include sun cream, sun hat, waterproofs and warmer clothing.

  • We would also suggest clothes that you don’t mind getting messy due to our outdoor play philosophy and art & craft activities.

  • Please ensure all items brought to a Super Star Sport West London club are clearly labelled. Please ensure children do not bring any valuable toys or belongings with them as Super Star Sport West London cannot be held responsible if they go missing.

 

How does drop off and collection work?

  • Super Star Sport West London offer flexible collection and drop-off for extended day children between the hours of 8.30am and 9am and 3pm and 3.30pm. Please note however that extended day registration closes promptly at 3.30pm; there is a charge of £8 per 15 minutes for collections made after the advertised session end time.

  • The standard day runs from 9am till 3pm. Registrations will open at 8.30 for this session and we encourage registering no later than 9am.

  • We operate a secure drop off and collection system.  A parent/guardian must sign all children in/out each day.

  • If there are any changes to your contact details since last attending Super Star Sport West London holiday camp or any medical updates, please ensure this is communicated to Super Star Sport West London.

 

Can my child be in the same group as a friend, brother or sister if they are different ages?

  • Super Star Sport Holiday Clubs have activities suitable for all ages and we are able to accommodate mixed age groups for most activities. Therefore if your child would like to be grouped with friends or family they can choose to do so.

 

What happens if someone else needs to pick up my child?

  • Only the people listed in the child’s collector field on our booking system can pick up your child.  If a person not mentioned on your booking form needs to pick up your child, you can tell us when dropping them off and create a password for the collector to tell staff upon collecting.

  • Any person collecting your child must be over 16 years of age.

  • If Super Star Sport West London are unsure who to send the child with, Super Star Sport West London staff will call the emergency contact on the booking form

 

My child is going to be absent or I need to cancel a session, what should I do?

  • If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice we can issue a full refund. If cancelled after 48 hours notice, a refund will be issued at the discretion of Super Star Sport West London.

  • Super Star Sport West London do not offer cash refunds for any booking cancellations: We are however able to swap Holiday Camp Session days to alternative dates within the same holiday period. As long as we have 48 hours notice.

 

What if my child requires medication whilst at the camp?

 

  • Super Star Sport West London will only administer medication if it has been prescribed by a doctor or other health professional.

  • A medical administration form will need to be filled in before Super Star Sport West London staff are allowed to administer medication.

  • Essential prescribed medication including Epipens must be handed in to the Camp Leader for safe-keeping.

 

Is there a booking deadline for Holiday Camp sessions?

  • Subject to availability and sufficient staffing levels, Super Star Sport West London can take bookings right up until the camp is due to start as long as you have registered onto our online system. If your child attends the club without a prior booking, we may have to turn them away depending on availability of places for that day.

 

How do I know if you have available spaces?

  • Online bookings will be suspended once the Holiday Camp is full.

Can you book it for me over the phone?

  • All bookings need to be made online by the customer, however in extreme circumstances we are able to help by taking the booking and payment over the phone.
