Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Leading Health Related Activity Sessions

The apprenticeship is a year in duration and covers the following 3 modules:

  1. Promoting healthy lifestyle and physical activity

  2. Planning activity sessions

  3. Delivering an activity session

You will receive a more detailed breakdown of each modules learning outcomes during the interview process. 

Course requirements:

  • Must not be in any other form of education eg. school, college or University

  • Must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years and have the right to remain indefinitely 

  • Must agree to working a minimum of 30 hours a week whilst undergoing your apprenticeship

Why do the apprenticeship with Super Star Sport?

Our Super Star Sport apprentices gain invaluable experience in both the sports & education industry. This comes through learning to plan and deliver sport sessions to a variety of age groups between 3-11.


We also allow our apprentices to try and develop new skills in other aspects of the business such as attempting sales, operations, marketing and even leading P.E lessons.


At the end of the apprenticeship, Super Star Sport will always provide the apprentices with further job opportunities. 

Job Description

You will learn to work in line with the Early Years Framework, working with children aged from two years old up to eleven years old, delivering a variety of sports.

You will learn how to coach:

  • Football

  • Basketball

  • Gymnastics

  • Dance

  • Athletics

  • Cricket

  • Tennis

  • Rugby

You will learn how to plan and deliver effective sessions in line with our Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum that has been produced in line with the EYFS guidelines.

You will also get the opportunity to learn more about how a coaching company works, learning what happens in the background for all sessions to run. This could be anything from sales to day to day running of the company.

You will also be required to help run after school clubs. Some of our clubs include -

  • Construction Club

  • Football Club

  • Netball Club

  • Gymnastics Club

  • Discovery Club


Skills Required:

Must be able to speak English

Ideally the successful candidate must be able to drive and have access to a car.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum GCSE's grade C or 4 or equivalent in Maths and English.


Future Prospects:

There are lots of different progressions in the company after the year-long apprenticeship. Including heading academies, taking projects and management roles. All successful apprentices will be offered a full time role after the completion of their apprenticeship.


Training to be provided:

Active IQ L2 certificate in Leading Health-Related Activity Sessions.


Working week:

Monday – Friday 8.30 – 4.30 (minimum 30 hours)


Job Type: Apprenticeship

Salary: £4.00 - £6.00/hour depending on experience.
